I do not know if most of you thought, but the truth is that being part of the otaku community means more money per year.
video games, comics, manga, series, the Gashapon and others, carry with them a lot of money a year, leaving out of this social circle of low income people, besides the time required to go a convention "x" where all stakeholders are gathered in this activity.
If we add the Cosplay, annual earnings are doubled, because although I try to see that you do not need much money to make good cosplays, there are colleagues who spend thousands of dollars in a single suit, which would be: what an average person spends in a normal convention, which is why the best cosplayers in Mexico, are those with sponsorship, or their families have much money to maintain this activity.
Anyway, there are countless people who like to watch anime or read comics, play video games or just meet people with your same tastes; that fall outside of this social circle.
Exclusion may be the result of many variations that can exist separately or together:
That admission charges, ($ 20, $ 30, $ 40 pesos) in theory Cosplay should go free, but I have had to pay the $ 35 pesos, even with quality Cosplay.
diffusion, many times the citizens forget that outside the city there are people, who may be interested. Now the spread is not limited to posters, there is the internet and is now much easier to give publicity to these events, in my case I live in a town where have never heard of the conventions that are held in the city of Puebla.
Accessibility, the distances that have to travel from the place of origin to the convention are always considered by the participants, as it has to do with: if they know how to get and how much they spend on tickets for example I spend on passage about $ 50 dollars and if to this we add the entry $ 35 (even with cosplay), gives me a total of $ 85 pesos and that just to get to the convention, imagine the food, but what I'm buying .
Another reason is discrimination, many people do not dare to come into an environment prone to ridicule from others, making them stay where they are, but hey that is another issue.
Well I'm not rich, nor do I sponsor, but I use my imagination and creativity to spend as little as possible in Cosplay, because since I started this years ago, I began to save money and divert my funds to buy cheap materials, and leave you my experience on the blog so that they take ideas, with $ 1000 dollars I could buy my materials for 3 Cosplay different, as I said above, some colleagues spend that in a single Cosplay.
Some say I'm "poor" (perhaps true), but I do not mind, I use my brain, which leaves me very satisfied, remember, a good cosplay does not always lead to spend much money, but my partner spends too much money Orihime ¬ ¬ mmmm, can do great things, on a budget, good hope have made them think, lol see you later.
